About Chethana C. Gottam, MD
Dr. Gottam is a board certified dermatologist, specializing in the care of skin for all ages. Raised in Illinois, she completed her undergraduate studies in anthropology and chemistry at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and with highest honors as a James Scholar and Bronze Tablet honoree. She received her medical degree and completed her internship in Internal Medicine from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She then went on to complete her dermatology residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she also had the honor of serving as chief resident during her final year. She received board certification in dermatology in 2009. Dr. Gottam has nearly a decade of experience in dermatology, having practiced in Illinois, Florida, and Michigan before founding the Art of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a proud member of the Michigan Dermatological Society and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Gottam takes great pride in providing excellent dermatology patient care. She likes to combine evidence based medicine with advances in science to provide the best care for her patients. She believes that a detailed evaluation coupled with clear communication are the keys to providing top notch care for patients of all ages in general dermatology, skin cancer treatment, and cosmetic services.
