About Bernardino Mendez, MD
Dr. Bernardino (Dino) Mendez leads our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery practice. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Illinois Wesleyan University, where graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to attend medical school and complete his General Surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center. To pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Mendez then moved to Dallas, TX where he trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital which is consistently one of the most highly regarded plastic surgery residency programs in the nation. He has over a dozen publications in the field, many of which he has presented at national conferences. He is a candidate member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr. Mendez resides in the Chicagoland suburbs with his wife and their daughter. His interests outside of plastic surgery are triathlons, world travel, ethnic cooking and the Chicago Bulls.
