About Bernard Cohen, MD
Dr. Bernard Cohen is a recognized authority in the field of hair loss and hair restoration; and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. Since 1974, he’s maintained a practice in Miami and Coral Gables, while actively serving on the pro bono teaching faculty at University of Miami, School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology. Within that department, Dr. Cohen holds the title of Clinical Professor-Voluntary Faculty, and was the Department’s former Director of Surgical Training. He’s received multiple awards for his dedicated service to the residency-training program. Born and educated in Pennsylvania, Dr. Cohen earned his M.D. degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons. He performed his dermatology training at New York University’s Skin & Cancer Hospital, where he was chief resident. He then served on the faculty of NYU Medical School while serving as Chief of Dermatology at West Point Military Academy.
