About Barry Auster, MD
Dr. Barry Auster is an expert in general, cosmetic and surgical Dermatology. He graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor of science in biology. He then attended University of Michigan School of Medicine. Upon graduating, he completed his internship at Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, California, then his Dermatology residency at Washington University, St. Louis Missouri, where he was honored to serve as chief resident. Dr. Auster is a board certified dermatologist. Dr. Barry Auster has served as chairmen of the Peer Review and Mediation Committee for the Oakland Country Medical Society and is part of the teaching faculty for the St. Joseph’s Mercy, Livingston, Dermatology residency training program and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Michigan State University School of Medicine. He is a member of the consulting staff at Sinai-Grace, Providence, and William Beaumont Hospital. He is the author of many academic publications and presentations. Dr. Auster has been named to numerous “Best Doctor” and “Top Doctor” lists, including the Hour Magazine of Detroit list for many consecutive years.
