About Bardia Amirlak
Dr. Amirlak is a triple board certified plastic surgeon. His patients can expect a solid academic foundation with an elite educational pedigree. He started his surgical training by completing a five year residency in general surgery at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. His residency included a year as a Chief Surgical Resident. During his surgical training he was part of a team to organize humanitarian surgical mission trips to Latin American Countries. He was fortunate to participate in the surgical care of patients in several underserved countries. He then moved to Louisville to complete a one year fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery (including peripheral nerve surgery), at the world renowned Kleinert’s Institute. During that year, he was honored to be part of the surgical team performing the only hand transplants in the country at the time. He then completed a 3 year plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. His mentors have included some of the world leaders of Plastic Surgery such as Warren Breidenbach and Arun Gosain. Dr. Amirlak was also trained by Dr. Bahman Guyuron, the pioneer of Migraine Surgery and one of the world’s most renowned surgeons in the area of Rhinoplasty and Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
