Growing up, I was never a girly girl. I never put makeup on until I was 15...and even then, it was just eyeliner and lip gloss. However, I always had an interest in waxing my brows. (I was a 90s teen and big, bushy brows weren't as glorious as they are today!) So that was me in a nutshell...thin brows, baggy pants, silver eyeliner and kiwi flavored lip gloss. Ahh...the 90s! Fast forward to adulthood. I never liked my bikini hair It was unsightly and uncomfortable. I tried everything from Nads, to microwave wax, to Nair (omg no, just no!). I finally got my first Brazilian wax at a (now popular) San Diego wax bar. It seriously changed my life! That's what inspired me to become an esthetician. People HAD to know what this was like! In Fall of 2014, I got my esthetician license which opened me up to an interest in skin care and eyelash extensions. The younger me would've thought that these were superficial, unnecessary beauty services, but the ""more mature me,"" now understands that these self-care services are actually perfect for my low-maintenance lifestyle. I wake up each morning with healthy, glowing skin and noticeable eyelashes - so I don't even have to put on any eyeliner (which is now black, by the way. I think that self-care, me-time, or whatever you want to call it, is so important. It's nice to allow yourself to let go, be pampered, and not have to worry about the stress of every day life. It's opening up the possibility to just live your best life. That's what I'm here for.
