About Amit M. Patel, MD
Amit M. Patel, M.D. is a native of Houston, Texas. He attended the University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate education where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology. He went on to complete his medical degree at the Chicago Medical School where he received multiple awards and honors, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, the highest academic distinction awarded to a U.S. medical graduate. Following graduation from medical school, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois-Chicago/Advocate Christ Medical Center. He then completed a three-year Dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine where he was actively involved in resident curriculum development. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and following his favorite sports teams (including anything related to Cal athletics - Go Bears!).
