About Alexandra B. Edelman, MD
Alexandra Beth Edelman, M.D. specializes in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best. Dr. Edelman’s areas of special interests include prevention and early detection of skin cancer, acne, cosmetic rejuvenation, laser therapy, and dermatologic surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Edelman was born and raised in San Diego. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Michigan, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Edelman was top of her class in medical school at George Washington University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Edelman went on to complete her internship year at UCLA and residency training in dermatology at University of Louisville where she was Chief Resident. As a San Diego native, Dr. Edelman is thrilled to come back home. Outside of the office, Dr. Edelman is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys tennis, hiking, zumba, cooking, and time with her friends and family.
