About Adriana M. Villa, MD
A Colombian-born dermatologist, Doctor Adriana Villa graduated from medical school at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and finished her Dermatology residency in 1998, at the Hospital Militar Central in Bogotá. She then worked in private practice for two years before moving to the United States. Dr. Villa moved to Miami in 2002 and during the following three years she worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Miami's Department of Dermatology, directly contributing to multiple clinical trials, wrote two book chapters and published numerous peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Villa became a US Board Certified Dermatologist in 2008, after finishing her second residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami. Overall, Dr. Adriana Villa has more than eleven years of experience in the study and practice of Dermatology and it is widely recognized by fellow colleagues and patients as a caring, knowledgeable and skillful physician. During the last four years, Dr. Villa has become a successful and prominent dermatologist in the city of Miami and in April 2012 she founded Villa Dermatology, a modern and innovative private practice dedicated to General and Pediatric Dermatology, Cutaneous Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology.
