About Adam C. Esser
I was born and raised in Oakland. I attended the University of Washington for college and became a diehard Washington Husky fan. After college, I headed to New York City for medical school at Mount Sinai, right in the heart of Manhattan. New York holds a special place in my heart, as it's where I met my wife. I decided to stay in New York for my internship, but once that was over, I was off to the Mayo Clinic for a dermatology residency. I then moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where I completed a fellowship in Mohs skin cancer surgery and cosmetic dermatology. After my fellowship training, I made the move to Palm Springs, where I split my time between private practice and working at Kaiser Permanente. The freedom to be able to focus on taking care of my patients without having to worry about the business side of medical practice is what drew me into Kaiser Permanente full-time. I am very fortunate to work with a wonderful, caring team of nurses and staff. We strive to create a comfortable and calm environment for our patients during the sometimes-stressful time of surgery. We encourage questions and do our best to put our patients at ease.
