About Zaineb H. Makhzoumi, MD
Dr. Makhzoumi is a dermatologic surgeon specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery and surgical reconstruction for skin cancer. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Makhzoumi earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the recipient of the Faculty Gold Medal. Dr. Makhzoumi then went on to complete a residency in dermatology at The University of Virginia, where she also served as chief resident. After this, she completed a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in Mohs micrographic surgery, lasers and cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery and the Women's Dermatologic Society.
