About Wing Ko, DMD
Dr. Ko was born and raised in Hong Kong, moving to the United States to attend college. After graduating cum laude from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, he was employed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a senior lab technician. He received his Doctoral degree in Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 2001. Dr. Ko has been practicing dentistry in central Connecticut since 2003. He completed his certificate in Orthodontics and the International Association for Orthodontics in 2005, and has been helping his patients achieve healthy, beautiful, natural looking smiles with Invisalign and Lumineers, as well as conventional braces. In addition to orthodontics, Dr. Ko is also experienced in restorative, endodontic, cosmetic, prosthodontics, and laser dentistry, as well as implant restoration and oral surgery. Dr. Ko is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and International Association for Orthodontics. He has been volunteering for the Connecticut Mission of Mercy since 2010, providing free dental care to the underserved and uninsured in Connecticut. Dr. Ko lives in Avon with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and attending his children’s violin and piano performances.
