About William C. Betzhold, DDS
Dr. Betzhold completed the requirements for dental school in three years at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1967. After receiving his D.D.S. degree from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry in 1971, he was in private practice for 22 years; 3 years in Kennebunk, Maine and 19 yrs.in Kent, Ohio. Due to his interest in larger and more complicated restorative cases, Dr. Betzhold continued his education at the VCU School of Dentistry, where in 1993, he entered a two year residency program in Prosthodontics. Since completing his residency in 1995, Dr. Betzhold has remained as a full time assistant professor at the VCU School of Dentistry. Dr. Betzhold is a clinical instructor to the 3 rd and 4 th year dental students. He also enjoys lecturing locally and nationally and participating as a teaching assistant at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Fla. Dr. Betzhold maintains an active private Prosthodontic practice, which includes esthetic fixed (crowns) and removable partial dentures, TMJ and occlusion and treatment planning and restoration of implants. Dr. Betzhold is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Richmond Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics and the dental honorary society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Betzhold is Board eligible.
