About Whitney R. Johnson, DDS
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Dr. Johnson has been practicing minimally invasive, mercury-free dentistry his entire professional career. His extensive knowledge and experience restoring teeth using advanced bonding techniques allows him to be able to perform many dental restorative procedures in a quick, pain-free approach. Dr. Johnson keeps learning in order to keep him at the top of his game. On average, he attends 75 hours of continuing education each year in all aspects of dentistry with primary emphasis in Implant, Restorative, Cosmetic and Sports Dentistry. Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Berkeley Dental Society (where he is a past President ), , and the Academy For Sports Dentistry (where he has attained the distinguish honor of Fellow, held an elected position as a Director on its Board from 2005 to 2008, is currently a member of its Ethics Committee and an instructor for the Team Dentist course) and the International Federation of Sports Medicine. Along with having his private practice, Dr. Johnson serves as a team dentist for the student-athletes participating in the 27 intercollegiate sports at the University of California and is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Dental Volunteer Program. Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Berkeley, CA. He took over his father's (Huntley) practice upon his retirement after 45 years of treating the community. He is married to his lovely wife, Beth, an epidemiologist at the University of California, School of Public Health. Together they have a beautiful daughter, Savannah and are the guardian to Cabby, the unofficial Golden Retriever of the California Golden Bears.
