About Vu H. Nguyen, MD
Dr. Vu H. Nguyen is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in skin cancer, medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology. Dr. Vu Nguyen was valedictorian of his high school in Kenner, Louisiana. He completed his undergraduate degree from Tulane University under full scholarship, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Nguyen completed medical school, internship, dermatology residency, and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Nguyen specializes in skin cancers, medical and surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology. His honors include the World Congress Educational Fund Task Force Scholarship and the Albert Kligman Fellowship. He has provided lectureships at national and international meetings, and authored multiple articles pertaining to skin basic science and disease. Dr. Nguyen practiced dermatology and dermatopathology at Scripps Clinic and then Mission Internal Medical Group/Mission Hospital prior to starting his own dermatology and dermatopathology practice at Carlsbad and Vista Dermatology. When not at work, Dr. Nguyen raises show dogs and tends to his tropical fruit farm.
