About Vineet Mishra, MD
Vineet Mishra, MD, is a dermatologist with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of vein disorders. He provides medical and cosmetic dermatology services at Scripps Clinic locations across San Diego County. After performing a thorough history, as well as an appropriate physical and ultrasound examination of the veins, Dr. Mishra offers a wide range of therapies for vein disorders, including endovenous laser ablation, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, cosmetic sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy. For skin cancer patients, Dr. Mishra provides sun protection guidance and annual exams, in addition to treatments including Mohs micrographic surgery, excisions, reconstructive surgery and the management of advanced skin cancer. Dr. Mishra also has clinical expertise in the treatment of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and hyperpigmentation of the skin. For patients seeking cosmetic laser dermatology services, Dr. Mishra performs the following laser treatments: hair/tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation, facial resurfacing and scar remodeling. He also provides cosmetic injections, dermal fillers and chemical peels. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Mishra has an interest in research and education in venous disease, cosmetics, lasers, Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction. He frequently is invited to lecture nationally and internationally. He is active in the graduate medical education program at Scripps Clinic and helps train Mohs surgery fellows. Dr. Mishra also is active in federal and state advocacy and public policy through the House of Delegates of both the American Medical Association (AMA) and California Medical Association, and other medical organizations. Dr. Mishra believes the ideal relationship between a physician and patient is based on teamwork, open communication and compassion. In his free time, Dr. Mishra enjoys hiking, tennis, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
