About Vincent J. Tso, DMD, FACP
Dr. Vincent Tso is a Board-certified prosthodontic dentist specializing in maxillofacial, implant, fixed and removable prosthodontics. Dr. Tso is a San Gabriel Valley native who received his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1981. He earned his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with honors and was elected into the honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon in 1985. He was awarded the Caelus Award, given to the senior graduate exhibiting “the highest clinical proficiency in the concepts and practice of dentistry during clinical training and who has combined art and science with imagination and intelligence.”. From Penn, he completed a one year hospital dental residency at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center where he learned to care for medically compromised patients of all ages with emphasis on the geriatric population. He received his advanced prosthodontic training at the Veterans Administration in West Los Angeles/ UCLA training program where he was chief resident. He received his Maxillofacial and Implant Prosthodontic training from the UCLA School of Dentistry where he attended from 1988 to 1989. Dr. Tso then finished off his training by voluntarily taking the clinical, oral, and written Board examination and is now board certified by the Amerian Board of Prosthodontists. He is honored as a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Tso believes in continually improving oneself and stays up-to-date on the best treatment methods. Dentistry is advancing rapidly, there are new advances being made constantly. He has been at the forefront in dental implant restoration since he was a resident in prosthodontics at UCLA in the late 1980's and has been active with teaching residents in restoring implants, and in restoring patients needing maxillofacial prosthodontics and needing simple and complex esthetic dentistry.
