I became fascinated with the skincare industry at the age of 12, while living in my native country, Czechoslovakia. I was a young teenage girl, and a dedicated athlete. The combination of changing hormones and sweaty workouts created a new teenage concern – pimples, acne, and bad skin. I was devastated. My world was falling apart. So, my dear mother took me to see a skincare specialist. And this is where my journey begins… My visit at the skincare salon transported me to a new world – a world full of wonderful aromas, mysterious apothecary jars, healing human touch, exciting science, and new technology. It was a world that gave me a new hope – beautiful, healthy, glowing skin. But most importantly, it was a world that deeply inspired me. I knew then, that I wanted to be a part of that wonderful, hopeful and inspiring world. But it took a while for my dream to come true. At the age of 21, I decided to move to the USA and enter a world of new challenges - learning a new language, new culture, and graduating from San Francisco State University with a business degree. It was an exciting and growing period of my life, but also a very stressful one. The stress took a toll on my skin and once again, I developed acne. This was the time, when I decided to act on my teenage dream. I enrolled at a private school of beauty in San Francisco, so that I could learn how to heal my skin and so that I could finally enter that world that I had always dreamed of. It was a great choice and I have never looked back. I now have a rewarding career that allows me to share, educate and inspire. I feel the greatest satisfaction when my client says that I have changed their life.
