About Tommy L. Kim, DDS
Arriving from South Korea with his mother, father, younger brother, and older sister when he was seven years old, Dr. Kim grew up in Concord, North Carolina and attended Central Cabarrus High School, where he played football, acted in theater, and was consistently on honor roll. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's degree in both biology and chemistry, Dr. Kim earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Marquette University School of Dentistry and then completed his General Practice Residency (GPR) at East Carolina School of Medicine before opening his private practice in Charlotte. Passionate about providing the best possible care for his patients, Dr. Kim continues his education with many annual postgraduate courses in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. A vested member of the dental community, Dr. Kim is a standing member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, North Carolina Dental Society, and Charlotte Dental Society. Outside the office, Dr. Kim spends most of his time with his family; June, Zoe, and their dog, Peanut. An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Kim enjoys camping, biking, and whitewater rafting.
