About Thomas H. Halliday, DDS
Dr. Tom Halliday was born and raised in Los Altos and has been a general dentist since 1990 when he graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School. Immediately following dental school he became a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service where he spent a total of 4 years working on the Navajo and Hopi Indian Reservations in Northern New Mexico and Arizona, culminating as Chief of the Tuba City AZ Indian Health Service Hospital Dental Clinic. During his early dental career he also spent a year as a solo dentist in a rural non-profit dental clinic in Tuolumne City, California. Taking a break from his public health work, Dr. Halliday worked for three years in a group practice in Fremont, where he met his dear wife Lisa. Though having sworn throughout dental school never to “get hitched” (especially to a dentist), Tom conveniently forgot these declarations and during many a platonic ski weekend managed to convince Lisa of his charm.
