About Tara L. Sexton, DMD
Dr. Tara Sexton graduated magna cum laude from University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine Program in 1988. A Teaching Fellow in both the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the Department of Clinical Dentistry, Dr. Sexton received the Earl Banks Hoyt Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Sexton is Assistant Clinical Professor of Advanced Restorative Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine. She teaches a select group of fourth year Honors Students who are given access to the Penn Dental Honors Clinic to provide advanced cosmetic and restorative treatments for their patients. Dr. Sexton was selected to receive Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Society's Alumni of the Year Award, along with Dr. Bernard Kurek, Class of 1973. The Awards were presented by Penn Dental Medicine's Amerstam Dean, Denis Kinane during the Annual Alumni Awards banquet held May 2013 at the Union League of Philadelphia. Since 2004 Dr. Sexton has been named one of the Top Cosmetic Dentists by Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today. Dr. Sexton has graced the covers of Main Line Today and Business Philadelphia and has been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal and Philadelphia Magazine. Dr. Sexton lectures and has authored articles on both the Art of Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Practice Marketing. A contributing Dental Expert for Prevention Magazine's Health & Fitness program, Body Sense, Dr. Sexton has been interviewed by WABC TV's Steve Levy, Don Polec and KYW's Pat Farnack.
