About Stanley Heifetz, DMD
Dr. Stan Heifetz is a native New Yorker and has been practicing dentistry in Manhattan for more than 25 years. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Binghamton, he earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978. He completed his externship at Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia and his dental residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. After completing his residency, he established a private practice in New York and became an attending staff member of Mt. Sinai Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital teaching restorative and cosmetic dentistry to dental residents. Dr. Heifetz served in various capacities of the Midtown Dental Society including the Peer Review, Ethics and Political Action Committees. He was named President in 1992 and served on the Board of Directors for two more years. Subsequently, he received the Meritorious Service Award from the Dental Society. After moving to Westchester with his family, he established a second office in White Plains, N.Y. Dr. Heifetz has served as a consultant to several oral health care companies, including Proctor & Gamble discussing potential innovations in oral hygiene products and their efficacy. Drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience in restorative, cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry, Dr. Heifetz serves as a consultant to several law firms and insurance companies providing expert opinion regarding dental matters. Dr. Heifetz places a high priority on continuing education. Once a month he attends seminars focusing on the most recent advances in implants, cosmetic dentistry, stem cell research, invisible aligners and complex issues involving the bite. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, NY County Dental Society, and Westchester Dental Society, and various professional study groups.
