About Sherly J. Alex, DDS
Dr. Sherly Alex is originally based out of Long Island, New York. She received her undergraduate BS degree in Biology from St. Johns University in Long Island NY in 1999, where she graduated with honors and was selected to be included in the National Deans List for consecutive years. Dr. Alex received her dental degree in 2003 graduating with honors as Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University. Dr. Alex was the only graduate selected from her class in 2003 to be presented with the prestigious Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for her outstanding performance in providing oral comprehensive dental care at the College of Dentistry in New York University. In 2004, Dr. Alex completed a General Practice Residency Program in Dentistry at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, one of the top ranked hospitals in the US, where she worked with world-renowned experts in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. She continued on in 2005 with her professional career in Dentistry as a faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics at the College of Dentistry, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences. She was inducted as a Fellow of The American Implant Association in 2013. Dr. Alex has devoted her professional career to all aspects of General and Family Dentistry, and is experienced in oral sedation, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontics, and Invisalign orthodontics. Given her caring one-on-one approach and multi-disciplinary expertise, Dr. Alex is able to uniquely provide comprehensive, individualized, treatment plans that underscore preventive dental care. She has been in private practice in the States of New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania, and has consistently received rave reviews by her patients and peers. Dr. Alex is an active member of dental societies, including, The American Implant Association, The American Dental Association, and The Academy of Stomatology.
