About Sheila N. Harris, DDS
Dr. Harris has been a licensed dentist since 2000, when she received her degree from Northwestern University School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Harris served for three years in the United States Army Dental Corps. During her Army career, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. As a resident, Dr. Harris received extensive training in all dental specialties, including oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral pathology and restorative dentistry. Dr. Harris has additional advanced training. She completed a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. Dr. Harris was awarded a prestigious Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She attends multiple continuing education courses each year to remain current on advancing techniques and materials in the field of dentistry. She currently enjoys practicing comprehensive general dentistry with special clinical interests in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Harris is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Sacramento District Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Doctors of Conscious Sedation (DOCS) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). In 2012, Dr. Harris received the Professional Woman of the Year award from the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). In her spare time, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with her husband and three beautiful children. She is committed to serving the community and providing all of her patients with the highest quality personalized dental care.
