About Shaylyn Gilmer, Aesthetician Specialist
I moved to St. Louis after being hired by TWA as a Flight Attendant. I had a wonderful career and a lot of fun seeing the world, but I found myself laid off after 9/11. After much soul searching, and some lying around on the couch crying, someone suggested that I become an esthetician. The very next day I was enrolled in class, and my new journey began. I spent the first 10 years of my career in a medical day spa where I specialized in facials, chemical peels, waxing, microdermabrasion, and laser hair removal. I was fortunate to work for, and with, amazing professionals who believed in me, encouraged me and allowed me to grow through constant and continuing education. In early 2013 I completed an intensive two-day training in Denver with Xtreme Eyelash Extensions. They are safe, beautiful, and natural looking. I feel truly blessed to be working in a field I completely enjoy. My passion is giving my clients an amazing experience while guiding them to achieve beautiful, healthy skin through a customized treatment plan.
