Dr. Thorsteinson completed her dental education at the Medical College of Georgia after studying Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech. During dental school, she received the dental implant student award given by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.After dental school, Dr. Thorsteinson completed a General Practice Residency in conscious IV sedation and dental implant placement at Georgia Regents University. With her sedation experience, she is able to treat special needs patients, as well as patients who are apprehensive about dental treatment. She is now an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at Georgia Regents University and has earned a Mastership from the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
