About Scott A. Recksiedler, DMD
Dr. Scott Recksiedler is a native San Diegan. He grew up in El Cajon and attended Granite Hills High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis where he majored in biology with an emphasis in microbiology. After college, he briefly worked for a local plant genetics company. Dr. Recksiedler received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. This is where he became interested in the specialty field of prosthodontics and was awarded the Dr. and Mrs. Albert J Kazis, D49 Endowed Prize Fund Award in Crown and Bridge. Dr. Recksiedler completed a three year accredited prosthodontic residency at the West Los Angeles Veteran’s Affairs Hospital. At the VA Hospital, Dr. Recksiedler was recognized as a GLA+ recipient for excellence in patient centered care. Following his prosthodontic residency, Dr. Recksiedler completed a one-year fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Recksiedler is a dedicated practitioner who provides individualized care for each patient he treats at San Diego Prosthodontics. He specializes in the treatment of patients with complex dental conditions. He is well versed in esthetic dentistry, dental implants, implant dentures, veneers, crowns, bridges, traditional complete and partial dentures, and oral cancer reconstruction. In addition, he treats patients receiving radiotherapy, and patients with severe oral and facial deformities from cancer, trauma, and congenital malformations. Dr. Recksiedler is an active member of several professional organizations including the ACP, AAMP, AO, ADA, and stays up to date on the latest techniques and digital technologies. Scott currently resides in San Diego with his wife Katelyn, 5-year-old son Andrew and 2-year-old daughter Samantha. When he isn’t working he enjoys golfing, surfing, traveling and spending time with family.
