About Scott Alexander, DDS
Dr. Alexander hails from central Nebraska but calls Texas his new home. Although he has taken a unique path to dentistry, each area of study has built upon the last. This path began when he received his Associates degree in Machine Tool and Die Design from Southeast Community College, Milford, Nebraska, and worked as a Toolmaker/Machinist. During this time, he worked in shops fabricating precision plastic injection molds for the manufacture of various plastic parts ranging from fishing lures to insulin syringes. Dr. Alexander then obtained his undergraduate degree in Biotechnology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. During this time, he became involved with the Medicines for Malaria Venture through the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His small part in this research project was the synthesis of precursor compounds and laboratory technician work. Several compounds now show potential against the drug resistant forms of malaria, and have entered human trials. Dr. Alexander went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University Medical Center, School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. After receiving his degree, Dr. Alexander decided to relocate to the warmer climes of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He has been working in the Las Colinas area since the Summer of 2005. Dr. Alexander specializes in various cosmetic procedures along with a general family practice. His office is located in a state-of-the-art facility that utilizes the latest in dental technology. Dr. Alexander is a current member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society.
