About Sara R. Dickie, MD
Dr. Dickie completed plastic surgery training at the University of Chicago Medical Center in 2012. Upon completion of this 6-year residency she studied for a year under the directed mentorship of Dr. Bruce Bauer in order to further specialize in pediatric plastic surgery. Inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for high scholastic achievement. She was also granted membership to the Arnold P. Gold Foundation's Humanism Honor Society. This society recognizes medical students and professionals who place a high level of value in patient- centered care and promote humanistic values and behavior. These values continue to be a core concept in her delivery of honest, welcoming, patient-focused care with an easy-going and warm bedside manner. Dr. Dickie is a Clinical Educator of Surgery at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Dickie published multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in Plastic Surgery. She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Pediatric Plastic Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association and a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Dickie focuses on reconstructive surgery for all ages including infants. She strives to provide empathic care and to build lifelong relationships for those patients who may need multiple surgeries.
