About Robert M. Dryden, MD

Dr. Robert Dryden has over thirty years of experience in cosmetic plastic surgery of the face, breasts and body. He includes breast augmentation, scarless breast lifts, facelifts, eyelid surgery, tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lifts, female cosmetic genital procedures amongst many others. In addition, Dr. Dryden offers a wide range of non-surgical treatments to help restore and maintain a youthful appearance; including Botox, Juvederm products including Voluma, Restylane, Radiesse, chemical peels and fat transfer. The office is located in Tucson, Arizona and serves clients from Green Valley, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sierra Vista, Nogales, New Mexico, other areas of the Southwestern United States as well as international clients. Dr. Robert Dryden has three loves: his family; the practice of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery; and the showing, breeding, and riding of Arabian horses. He lives on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona, at the base of the Rincon mountains and near the Saguaro National Park where he loves to ride his beautiful horses with his family and friends. Dr. Dryden always wanted to be a physician. After 3 years of college, he entered, under a special program, the prestigious University of California School of Medicine at the age of 20. He graduated at the top of his class. He was then accepted into the most highly-regarded post graduate programs and fellowships for more specialized training. After a sleepless year-long internship delivering babies, removing appendices and countless other surgeries at the University of Oregon, Dr. Dryden returned to San Francisco for three years of Ophthalmological Residency training at the then most-prestigious program in the world. A further year of specialized cosmetic and functional facial plastic surgical training was spent as the first Fellow of Crowell Beard M.D. and Marvin Quickert M.D., renowned pioneers in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Dryden then spent two years at the National Institute of Health Research facilities and served as a Consultant to the National Naval Medical Center (the President’s hospital). Dr. Dryden subsequently moved to Tucson to begin his private practice, to do research, to write and to teach other physicians. He has had 39 fellows starting in 1974. Dr. Dryden believes that healing comes from a close collaboration between the informed patient and the caring, competent doctor. Both must care equally about the medical outcome. He also believes that the special concerns, personal lives and interests of his patients are a critical component in the healing process. Their feelings, hopes and fears must always be respected and honestly addressed. Dr. Dryden manages to include other passions into his busy schedule. He loves University of Arizona football and basketball. There is always room in his busy schedule to cheer them on, read about their exploits and hope for possible Rose Bowl Games and Final Four Finishes. He always believes they will win and remains a staunch believer–regardless of their wins or losses. Dr. Dryden also loves his Arabian horses. For years he has studied bloodlines and bred more and more beautiful, athletic and structurally sound, prize-winning horses. The horses, like Dr. Dryden, all love people, are gentle, intelligent and love the challenge of hard work. Early summer mornings just as the sun rises, you might find Dr. Dryden on a tractor, or trimming a foal’s hooves, tending injuries, sharing the beauty of his horses with a stranger or out on a steep rocky mountain trail on the edge of Tucson training another magnificent horse or just enjoying life. Dr. Dryden savors the competition of a horse show where he pits his and his horse’s skills with those of other riders and their lovely, trained horses. He loves Arabians and continues to support the breed, having been a member of the governing body of America, the Arabian Horse Registry, Board Member and President of the Arabian Horse Owners’ Foundation, and President and Board member of local Arabian Horse organizations.
