About Richard F. Stilwill, DDS
Dr. Richard Stilwill graduated from East Lansing High School and Albion College, receiving his B.S. in biology. He attended the University of Detroit and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Stilwill has been in practice for 27 years in East Lansing. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Central District Dental Society. He has served as President of the Central District Association, Chairman of the Delta Dental Fund and Secretary and Treasurer of the Michigan Section of the American College of Dentistry. As Chairman of the Delta Dental Fund's continuing education committee for five years, he understands the importance of continuing education and professional growth. He leads a group of dentists teaching ethics to freshmen dentists at the University of Michigan Dental School for the past six years. Through the years Dr. Stilwill has created a very relaxed and caring office atmosphere. His conservative approach to dentistry has earned him the trust and respect from his patients. Focusing on prevention, he educates and ecourages the patients to be actively involved in their dental health. He enjoys taking time to explain the various dental options available to the patients. He feels strongly that the patients understand and are comfortable with their dental experiences. Outside of the office, Dr. Stilwill is married to Cathy and has three grown boys. Bicycling, skiing and Boy Scouts are his fun diversions.
