About Richard L. Kalmans, DDS
Since 1984 Richard Kalmans has been serving Stamford, Connecticut as well as patients from other Connecticut communities, New York and other states. Dr. Kalmans graduated from the Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, and he completed a General Dentistry Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Kalmans received extensive training in post-graduate and continuing education courses. He was awarded a fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry. He completed training for treating Sleep Apnea with an easy-to-use, oral appliance instead of the more traditional, cumbersome CPAP machine. This break-through technology improves his patients’ sleep, and as a result, their overall well-being. He attended numerous advanced dental courses at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Florida and he completed continuing education courses in Implantology and Prosthetics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Aseptic Technique, Medical Emergencies and CPR Recertification. The Connecticut Department of Public Health calls on Dr. Kalmans to evaluate their challenging cases. Dr. Kalmans is affiliated with several accredited dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Stamford Dental Society, American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
