About Richard B. Claytor, MD
Dr. R. Brannon Claytor joined Dr. R. Barrett Noone in 2014 to help carry on the tradition of exemplary plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery on the Main Line. Dr. Noone started Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates 40 years ago, and the practice has had a rich history of providing care to patients in Greater Philadelphia area ever since. Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon Dr. Claytor has been in practice for over 15 years. A member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Claytor has been an educator at the national level teaching courses at the ASAPS meetings to other plastic surgeons. A native of the Philadelphia area, Dr. Brannon Claytor attended the Haverford School, Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and Jefferson Medical College. After a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a Hand and Micro-Surgery Fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Claytor spent ten years in private practice in New England. In addition to his surgical work, Dr. Claytor is a Clinical Associate Professor at Lankenau Institute of Medical Research. He has served on the Credentialing Committee and as the Coordinator for Lahey Clinic plastic surgery residents at Maine Medical Center, where he was elected “Teacher of the Year” by the residents in 2008. He also served on both the Investigational Review Board and the By-Laws Committee at Portsmouth Regional Medical Center. Dr. Claytor is a course instructor for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a past Councilor for the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Claytor’s warmth and attention to his patients’ needs complement his expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, abdominoplasty, and facial aesthetic surgery. His knowledge of and continual training in the most advanced surgical techniques provide his patients with up-to-date, cutting-edge care that yields exceptional results. Dr. Claytor and his wife, Sarah, are the proud parents of three children. He is an active member of the Rotary International and participated in a Rotoplast trip in December 2015 to Bangladesh where the team performed surgery on 82 children and adults. Dr. Claytor holds a commercial airline pilot’s license, and enjoys competitive sailing and fly fishing.
