About Richard Carlson, DMD
Dr. Carlson has performed facial esthetics for over 25 years and taught facial esthetics at the University of Florida for 8 years. Having been in this profession for many years, he has learned from the world’s master clinicians on what makes up a beautiful face. He has always prided himself on keeping up with the most advanced technology and techniques, which is evident in all of his offices and the techniques he uses. Dr. Carlson’s passion for facial esthetics stems from his childhood. Growing up, he had to have surgery to fix his facial deformities. This has given him an intimate understanding of what it feels like to be unhappy with how one appears. Boosting patient’s confidence and helping them achieve their ideal look is something Dr. Carlson says, “He cannot put into words how it makes him feel.” He is also equally as thrilled when a patient comes back after treatment with Botox for their facial pain headaches and says this is the first time they can remember they don’t have a headache in years. Outside of work, Dr. Carlson enjoys traveling with his family, rooting on the Florida Gators while wearing his blue and orange, and golfing with his friends. Having swam at Marshall University throughout his four years of undergraduate school, he believes fitness is a necessary part of life and enjoys working out and keeping active.
