About Raymond Skowronski, DDS
Dr. Raymond Skowronski Jr. is certified by the Northeast Regional Board of Dentistry. After graduation from De La Salle Collegiate High School, Dr. Skowronski attended the University of Detroit, earning his bachelor’s degree in biology and graduating summa cum laude. He continued his education and received his doctorate from the University of Detroit, School of Dentistry four years later. Dr. Skowronski was very involved in his academic community, serving as the president of Psi Omega as well as being an active member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and Alpha Sigma Nu. Upon graduation, Dr. Skowronski’s academic and clinical excellence was recognized by receiving the oral and maxillofacial surgeon’s award, the Pierre Fauchard Award, the scholastic Achievement Award as well as being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the highest academic honor achievable by any dental student. Dr. Skowronski also attended and completed the United States Dental Institute in 1990. After graduation, Dr. Skowronski realized he had a true passion not only for dentistry but teaching as well. He returned to the dental school, where he served as a member of their faculty until 1988. During this time as well, he also served as a prominent faculty member for Oakland University. As a proud alumnus of De La Salle Collegiate High School, Dr. Skowronski now sits on the board of trustees to ensure a bright future for the school. Dr. Skowronski’s love for the classroom is something he is still passionate about today and values the opportunity to lecture to any age group about the importance of oral health and sleep medicine. Dr. Skowronski is a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, fellowship eligible member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Craniofacial pain. He obtained Diplomat status for the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Skowronski is an active member of Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine International Association for Orthodontics, and finally a charter member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontists. Dr. Skowronski has also completed well over 2000 hours of continuing education since graduating with emphasis on subjects such as head, face and neck pain, as well as orthodontics and dental sleep medicine. In 1983 Dr. Skowronski opened the doors to his practice in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Over the years, his practice has grown substantially. With the support of his family as well as much planning and consideration, he built a new state of the art office in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Dr. Skowronski strives to provide the finest quality and the most current dental health care available within a comfortable environment.
