About Paul H. Van Horne, DDS
Dr. Van Horne was born in Ohio in 1958. He grew up in a suburb of Detroit Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan for his Undergraduate Degree and continued for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then came to the University of Southern California and did an additional year of training, called a General Practice Residency program. Upon receiving his License in August of 1985 he has worked here in San Diego. First as an employee and then opening his own practice on Lake Murray Blvd in December of 1990. In June of 2001 he moved around the corner to his current location on Parkway Drive. He is active in both the San Diego County Dental Society and with the California Dental Society and is also a member of the American Dental Association. He has participated in service to the community through the Kiwanis organization. First in East San Diego and then in the Tierrasanta Club. He lives in La Mesa and is active in his church. He is married. His wife Dee has a daughter Jennifer from her first marriage and Jennifer has two girls, Mia and Joie and a son Isaac. He enjoys reading, history, current events and light fiction as well. He also follows the college teams from his Alma Mater, U of M Wolverines, and his home town San Diego State Aztecs. He tries to keep his garden growing and does some woodworking; however since the storage in the garage has overflow into the wood shop area there has not been too of that recently. Since graduating in 1984 the field of dentistry has changed amazingly. At my office we work very hard at evaluating the new procedures and products that come along and make sure that we incorporate those that will be most helpful to our patients without running after any new fads. We look forward to working with you to meet you oral health goals. We hope to see you soon.
