About Padma Raman, DMD
Dr. Padma Raman completed her initial dental training in India in 2000. She also pursued a Masters degree in Epidemiology which fostered a commitment to dental research and evidence based dentistry. After moving to the United States, she graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 2007 with several honors and awards including the prestigious Morton Amsterdam Award for excellence in treatment planning and execution. She was also elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental honor society. She has since been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in the Greater Philadelphia region. She is dedicated to a lifetime of continuing education and is involved in clinical and materials research. Her collaborative research on specific techniques and materials for tooth- colored fillings on back teeth has been presented at the International Association for Dental Research meetings and has also published in a renowned peer reviewed dental journal. Most recently, she has co-authored a paper on treatment planning and clinical protocols for successful management of root canal treated teeth that provides continuing education credits for general dentists. Dr. Raman is a caring and conscientious dentist whose practice is patient-centric and quality-driven. She considers it her responsibility to educate her patients in order to enable them to make an informed decision and fully participate in their dental care. Given all the technological advancements in dentistry, she believes that – today more than ever- the human element is critical in tying the technology, patient education and patient care together and strives to do that for her patients every day. In her free time, Dr. Raman enjoys cooking, hiking, bird watching and wildlife photography.
