About Otto L. Herod, DDS
Growing up in Harlingen, I was captivated by the positive difference both of my dentist parents made in their patients’ lives. Great communicators, they taught me early the value of explaining, in plain language, the many different options that may be available to solve a variety of dental concerns. Mom is still practicing in Rio Grand Valle, and I’m honored to carry the family legacy of helping families achieve excellent oral health. After earning my doctorate from Baylor College of Dentistry, I spent several years practicing in Tyler before coming to Universal City. The people are wonderful, and it’s closer to my family and friends. When not helping people love their smiles, I enjoy being outdoors. During the week you can find me running or biking the San Antonio Greenbelts or playing Frisbee with my German Sheppard Klaus. Dr. Herod believes in helping his community and promoting early dental care for children. He often travels to local schools to provide free cavity screenings to local children.
