About Norman C. Ahl, MD
Dr. Ahl grew up on the border in Douglas, Arizona where his father was a doctor for the Phelps Dodge Copper Company. He attended the University of Arizona where he received a B.S. in Zoology. Dr. Ahl attended medical school at U.C.L.A and received his medical degree in 1969. He then received his eye training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City and completed a fellowship in eye plastic surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ahl practiced with the Thomas Davis Clinic for 20 years before going into a solo practice. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic and Reconstructive Surgery. Our office prides itself on personalized care of our patients and we spend a great deal of time with them. We see both adults and children for general eye exams and glasses as well as patients with cataracts, diabetes, and glaucoma. Dr. Ahl performs cataract surgery with implants as well as laser surgeries for glaucoma.
