About Mostafa H. Bakir, DMD
Dr. Bakir graduated from Tufts University School of Dentistry in 2004, after which he entered active duty with the US Army. While serving in the Army Dental Corps, he received extensive advanced training in general dentistry. Dr. Bakir was deployed with Operation Iraqi Freedom, and earned two Army Commendation Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, and a Commander’s Coin in recognition of his service. Dr. Bakir is currently faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, with dual appointments to the Department of General Dentistry and Advanced General Dentistry. He is a long-standing member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He lives with his wife, Dahlia, of 18 years who is from Lutherville, and their three children.
