About Mohammad A. Salam, DDS
In 1992 Dr. Salam received his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. From then he worked as a dental surgeon in Dhaka Dental College and Hospital at Dhaka University until 1995. Dr. Salam has not only flourished in the field of dentistry but has also furthered his academic career by pursuing a PhD in Oral Microbiology and Immunology at Niigata University in Japan. After receiving his PhD, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in Tokyo, Japan until 2003, when he did further postdoctoral research at the Department of Microbiology in the University of Alabama. After teaching for a while, he decided to earn another Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the esteemed University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit, MI.
