About Michael R. O'Brien, DDS
Dr. Michael O’Brien has been practicing general dentistry in Sacramento since 1982. He attended UC Berkeley and studied psychology, graduating with honors in 1978. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended UC San Francisco and graduated in the top of his class in 1982. He was selected to be a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Michael O’Brien enjoys all aspects of his family-oriented practice from children's dentistry to geriatrics. He especially enjoys the long-term relationships that he has established with his patients. In his free time, Dr. O’Brien loves spending time with his family skiing, hiking and traveling. Dr. O'Brien and his team volunteer their time on an annual trip to Guatemala to provide impoverished children with free dental care in the Mayan Highlands. Each year they see over 200 patients and provide comprehensive care including cleanings, fillings, sealants, and extractions.
