About Michael R. Ellis, DMD
Michael R. Ellis grew up in the (then) small town of Canton Connecticut and graduated from Canton High School in 1982. His college pursuits took him on to Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1986. From 1986 to 1987 he lived in Chicago, Illinois and attended the University of Chicago where he continued biological science studies in physiology. In the summer of 1987 Dr. Ellis moved back to Connecticut to work in Structure and Function of Biological Macromolecules and DNA sequencing at the University of Connecticut. After attending the School of Dental Medicine there, he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1992. After graduation Dr. Ellis went on to work in private practice with Dr. John Valigorsky, DDS in Bristol, Connecticut. In December of 1993 he became the principal in Dr. Valigorsky’s practice and maintained the business at the 751 Farmington Avenue location until 2004 when he assumed the practice and patients of Drs. Joe and John Coratola. The offices and practice were then moved to the current location at 789 Farmington Avenue in Bristol. Dr. Ellis enjoys family life and especially spending time with his children. He strives to carry over that family friendliness to his dentistry practice. “Maintaining a cheerful environment with a staff of happy associates gives our patients a feeling of well being and comfort during their visit”.
