About Michael E. Decherd, MD
San Antonio cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Michael Decherd, is a fourth-generation Texas doctor who chose plastic surgery because he enjoys helping people look and feel their best. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and then completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for general surgery. Following his internship, Dr. Decherd went on to complete his residencies. In Galveston, he fulfilled his residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery, and then he went back to the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for his residency in plastic surgery. Dr. Decherd believes that individuals who choose to improve their appearance through cosmetic surgery value themselves enough to make a life-changing decision. Over the years, he has witnessed how cosmetic surgery has benefited women, specifically those who have completed childbearing or achieved weight loss.
