About Meyer A. Horn, MD
Meyer A. Horn, MD is a Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University, an Affiliate in the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Originally a Southerner, Dr. Horn completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and his medical school studies at Duke University Medical School and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Subsequently, his professional training has been in the Chicago area, including an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals, residency in dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and a clinical trials fellowship in psoriasis, also at Northwestern University. Dr. Horn is now a Chicago resident, sharing his house with his wife, three ballet dancing daughters and many pets. He is as much an animal advocate as he is a human one – giving as much love and kindness to his dogs and other assorted animals as he does to each of his patients. Born into a musical family, Dr. Horn is a percussionist who stays involved in the local music scene as a performer and overall supporter of the arts. He is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art general dermatology care to residents of the Chicagoland area. His special interests include inflammatory diseases of the skin, skin cancer screening, prevention and education, and surgical dermatology. He treats patients over the age of ten years.
