About Melva G. Ely, DDS
Dr. Ely is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry and has been practicing in South Tampa for over 20 years. She is one of the select few dentists in the Tampa Bay area trained at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the world's foremost postgraduate teaching institution. Her training in TMJ or jaw function disorders, occlusal problems, aesthetic, cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry by world renowned instructors has earned her the status of LVI Graduate, a prestigious title given to less than four hundred doctors in the world. She has also been trained by Dr. Mariano Rocabado, one of the world's more preeminent authorities in the treatment of TMJ disorders from a craniocervical perspective. Her desire to provide the best care possible is evidenced by her commitment to continuing education in advanced dental studies. Dr. Ely is very passionate about her career. She is always seeking the latest materials, techniques, and technology to provide her patients with exceptional care. Using state-of-the-art equipment, she is able to accurately diagnose and comprehensively treat a wide range of problems. She and her team are able to provide patients with everything from simple fillings to full mouth reconstructions.
