About Matthew F. Mccabe, DMD
As Dr. McCabe closes in on ten years of private practice experience, the trend has been that each year just truly keeps getting better and better. Dr. McCabe teamed up with Select Dental (previously known as Barnett and Shoflick) in 2015 and was instrumental in the transition and merger of Dr. Mandell’s long standing practice in Wethersfield. Since settling down with Dr Shoflick’s team, he is proud of how Select Dental has established a reputation as one of the leading comprehensive practices in the community. His daily passion stems from the privilege in being able to afflict positive change in patient’s lives and his core dedication is to treat every individual as if they were a member of his own family. Dr. McCabe has long standing ties to the state of Connecticut as a native of South Windsor, and graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He feels it is a humbling experience to be able to treat family, friends, peers and colleagues on a daily basis. Dr. McCabe is affiliated with a surplus of local outreach and community programs (CT Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile) while also frequently travels outside of the country as a mentor and instructor on University sponsored dental mission trips to Honduras, Ecuador, and Guatemala. He is also submersed and committed to professional continuing education programs, and travels yearly to some of the most highly respected institutions such as the Spear Institute and the Dawson Academy. Dr. McCabe resides in Middletown with his wife where they attempt to keep up with their growing family! He comes home to a sticky-fingered toddler and the routine of bedtime stories repeated for the fifteenth billionth time.
