About Matthew Harris, MD

Dr. Matthew Harris is an alumnus of Indiana University, where he received both his Bachelor of Science and his Medical Degrees. He continued his training by specializing in Dermatology at New York Medical College, and during his residency he was elected Chief Resident and received several awards and honors. He has also published several articles in various medical journals. Dr. Harris, a Board Certified Dermatologist since 2003, is currently a clinical instructor for the Hinsdale Family Practice Residency Program. He specializes in general, pediatric and surgical Dermatology. He also has had extensive training and experience in cosmetic treatments such as Botox, fillers (Restylane, Radiesse, etc.), leg vein treatments, chemical peels, and lasers. Besides Dermatology, Dr. Harris' other interests include playing various musical instruments (he was a professional musician in his ''other''life), cooking, tennis, reading and spending time with his amazing family. ''I went into medicine because I saw what a difference it could make for others after watching what my father did (as a neonatologist). Now every day as a Dermatologist I feel honored in utilizing my knowledge and expertise to help others and seeing how it can really make an impact on people's lives. There is really no other profession I would rather be in.''
