About Martin Margetis, DDS
Dr. Margetis was born in Johnson City, NY. He had an extensive educational career and completed two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University. He earned his DDS degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, in 1983. He then performed a post-graduate residency at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Oral Cancer. Dr. Margetis has enjoyed continuing his education throughout his career. He has a continued membership in the RV Tucker Academy, an international organization that works to perfect the methods and practices of cast gold restorations. Dr. Margetis has two children: a 36-year-old daughter who works in the finance industry and a 26-year-old son who graduated from the ASU Herberger School for the Arts, is an actor/comedian/writer, has appeared in numerous commercials, and works for an international company that produces commercials, public service announcements, and industrial instructional videos. Throughout his life, Dr. Margetis has been a fan of music. He was a working, professional musician for a number of years and he currently plays in a couple of different bands. He also enjoys collecting vintage guitars. Dr. Margetis is currently involved with Missions of Mercy; he initiated the Arizona Mission of Mercy when he was President of the Central Arizona Dental Society. This program provides free dental care for people who are economically disadvantaged by holding a two-day event at Arizona State Fairgrounds. Over three years, more than four million dollars of dental services have been provided.
