About Mark Whitfield, DDS
Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at SMU, Dr. Whitfield went on to do his graduate dental studies at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Whitfield has emphasized studies in cosmetic, implant, biomimetic and comprehensive dental care. His post-graduate studies have included work at the Nash Institute, LVI, Seattle Institute, Spear Center, Hornbrook Group, and the Baylor College of Dentistry. While the state of Texas only requires 12 hours of continuing education hours per year, Dr. Whitfield completes 20-50 hours per year. Dr. Whitfield has been awarded a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland in July of 2009. In May of 2011, Dr. Whitfield was elected by his peers and sworn in to serve as a member of the Peer Review Board for the Dallas County Dental Society. In 2015, Dr. Whitfield was voted as one of D Magazine's Best Cosmetic Dentists in Dallas. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Dr. Whitfield was voted as one of the Best Dentists in D Magazine, Fort Worth Magazine and Super Dentist in Texas Monthly. Dr. Whitfield is not only committed to excellent esthetic and cosmetic results, but is determined to achieve an uncompromised state of oral health for his patients.
